#1 Culture Shock
Today, I would like to talk about my first culture shock in the US. This experience was in the restaurant during a meeting with my husband’s colleagues. The food was excellent, but we had a lot! After completing dinner, everybody asked the waiter for boxes for their leftovers because in the US people like to take them home. I think that my husband’s colleagues were shocked when we refused to take our rest. It was a first culture shock in my life because in Russia we often take just a whole dish from restaurant. You don't take your own dish because it can characterize you as a poor person.
