Hello everyone! I found out two  FADs  of the 1970s and I would like to present them to you. The first one is mopeds. In 1974, the United States had the national fuel crisis. Travelers needed to wait in lines for hours just to get a tank of gas and people looked for a new method of transportation. The moped was fitted for everyone because it was cheaper to use than a common car. Also, in 1977 more than 250,000 people in the USA owned one.            The second one is Star Wars action figures. After the popular Star Wars movies many fans wanted to buy their favorite characters. Many youths started collecting action figures of Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and more.

Recently, I started my pop culture class and found out a lot about new culture. For example, I found out that culture looks like an iceberg which has a visible part and an invisible part. The visible part is very small, but we continue to stereotype other people. I found out that culture is not static, it is developing and depends on many factors such as contact between cultures. In addition, I enjoyed a poster project about cultural identity. It was interesting to find out about the habits, language, holidays, and traditions of my classmates. Now, I understand other cultures better and I don’t have culture shock. My Aha moment was when I did an assignment and found out meaning of term “cultural relativism”. It is the idea that a person's beliefs and practices should be understood based on that person's own culture. I like this term because it expresses my attempts to understand American culture.   Hello everyone! I created a Cultural Identity Poster.  First of all, I added video with a folk music to represent a traditional dance and music. In poster I used: pictures with Russian symbols "Matryoshka doll" traditional food are "Pelmeni", "Dressed herring", "Blini" The Morning in a Pine Forest  represents arts in my country Russian ballet is a symbol and sport Unique architecture is in Moscow and  Saint Petersburg This is link  to the poster.
